...But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”
“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit.“You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” Mark 9:22-25
In His infinite wisdom, He opted to help my unbelief by blessing above and beyond what I could ask or think.
Chad had the follow-up dr. appointment today after his annual heart CT. The doctor simply said... "looks great! see you in 2 years". Seriously?! We both thought we would be doing this test every year for... well, for the rest of Chad's life.
He didn't have to bless us.... He didn't have to answer my prayer in such an amazing way, but I am so grateful He did!
So, we celebrated with a spontaneous lunch out date. Our little town still has an old-fashioned lunch counter with homemade food. It's one of our favorite lunch places.
As I sat with my favorite man my heart rejoiced. Thank You LORD for your mercy in our lives and for continuing to help my unbelief!
Oh, Heidi, I'm so happy for you. Rejoicing with you!

What a wonderful blessing and so timely. God is like that, isn't HE. HE never panics....not so true for the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for what God has done and is doing in all of our lives! He is amazing.
