When life seems overwhelming and people frustrate me...
when parenting seems insurmountable and my marriage seems stale...
when my Bible is only words on a page and I can't seem to find God anywhere...
it is always time for me to take time to be grateful.
A thankful heart changes my entire perspective and focus.
Thankfully, I can't be negative and grateful at the same time!
I'm joining up with Brenda and several others this month to offer a month of gratitude... 30 days of allowing my heart to be thankful for something each day.
Monday is prayer day... one of my favorite days of the month. An afternoon set aside for the wives of our church's elders to get together over tea and lift up the needs of our church and our own individual prayer requests. The five of us try to do this twice a month. Those of us who homeschool leave our children with the older teen children at one home and then travel to another home where it is quiet and peaceful to gather together in prayer.
Without fail, I come away from our time together renewed and refreshed. I am so thankful for this time with these dear ladies... sisters in Christ... true friends who pray for me and pray with me.
And for that, I am grateful.
