a dozen years ago...

She came into the world

without a lot of fuss

at 10 lbs 10 ozs

and almost 24 inches

she was almost half grown

She's brought us much joy

and many laughs

she's taught me much
about how to love Jesus
and others

and I can't even begin

to imagine life

without her

a dozen years ago

we were blessed

to be given the gift

of her.
